Basit Ali to head junior selection committee

Pakistan Cricket Board has named former batsman Basit Ali chief of selection committee of Pakistan junior cricket team. Basit has served head of junior selection committee in 2008 and will head a four member panel this time. Committee includes other former cricketers like Ali Naqvi, Farrukh Zaman and Ali Zia who is also general manager at national cricket academy. None of these players had a long and successful career though, Basit Ali played 19 Test and 50 ODIs. While Naqvi has played only 5 Tests, and Zia represented Pakistan in only 1 Test.

Moin Khan has been named chief of Pakistan selection committee for senior national players and manager of cricket team. There is a lot of development going on in PCB and hopefully it will strengthen cricket structure in Pakistan.
