Ryan Harris Into Australia A coaching

Australia right arm fast bowler Ryan Harris is suffering from knee injury. He played an important role in winning Ashes and then defeating South Africa. He is having treatment on his knee so can be available to play against Pakistan in October. Meanwhile he has been offered role of assistant coach of Australia A for home series in July and August against India A and South Africa A. Harris told Courier Mail, "I certainly didn't expect or ask for this opportunity but I jumped at the chance when [CA's general manager of team performance] Pat Howard asked me". Ryan Harris is fortunate enough to get this job with out any prior experience and it will keep him involved in cricket while recovering from knee injury.

Harris is recovering well from his knee surgery and he is expecting to start bowling in nets at the same time he will be coaching Australia A side. “I’m basically only on one of my crutches now and I don’t really even need that when I am walking around the house,” Harris said.

Mathew Wade and Tim Paine have been left out of the squad while 2 other glove men Sam Whiteman and Peter Nevill have been introduced, below is preliminary squad;
