Shakib Al Hasan issued show-cause notice

Bangladesh cricket board has issued a show cause notice to Shakib Al Hasan about making critical remarks about Bangladesh team after humiliating exit for ICC World Twenty20, 2014. Bangladesh only won 2 qualifying matches and lost 1 qualifying match plus 4 super10 stage matches. Shakib gave an interview to leading Bangla daily and said, "it was a mistake on the part of BCB, fans as well as the media to expect that Bangladesh would perform well." He also said out of frustration that, "Bangladesh should not play home series for at least two years" that he succeeded at the highest level despite the system and "Bangladeshi players can't hit big sixes regularly as most of them have grown up eating only khichdi and not orange juice!".

Shakib Al Hasan in trouble with show cause notice by BCB

BCB has asked Shakib that why did he give an interview to media with out asking board permission and ask him to provide reasons behind his actions till weekend. Shakib Al Hasan made 186 run in 7 matches and took 8 wickets for economy rate under 6.
