India beat Sri Lanka in first Test match at Galle

India beat Sri Lanka in first Test match at Galle:

India beat Sri Lanka by 304 runs to win the first Test match on the fourth day at Galle & the cricketers really enjoyed the victory. A must deserving win for India against a shaky side that needs consistency & team Sri Lanka were recently defeated at home by Zimbabwe in ODI series.

The captain Virat Kohli praised the batting side in the first innings of Test match that really set the tone for the complete match. Kohli praised his two batsmen Dhawan & Pujara for their splendid batting as both secured tons in the first innings.

Dhawan scored 190 off just 168 balls to receive the man of the match award. Pujara also showed a brilliant knock when his team needed it & he made 153 runs in the long format.

In the second innings that was Virat Kohli who showed the real captain innings as he slammed a ton to help his team post a big target.

From Sri Lanka side the opener Karunaratne played a brilliant innings but it was wasted by Indians as they showed consistency while batting as they beat Sri Lanka by 304 runs. Virat Kohli’s team outplayed Herath & his team in every field to lead the 3 match Test series 1-0.

Ravi Shastri was recently appointed as India head coach & it is a big reward that boys gave to their senior as they showed good cricket in every field including batting, bowling & fielding. The wicket did not offer much for the bowlers & team India really played well to take wickets on a track that is not an ideal wicket for bowlers. The Indian bowlers deceived the batsmen & they were victories on the fourth day of Test match.
