Tom Moody is hired as head coach of Multan Sultans

Tom Moody is appointed as head coach of Multan Sultans:

Multan Sultans, the latest franchise in PSL, has appointed Australia Tom Moody as its head coach. Moody who is also the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL & of Rangpur Risers in the BPL.

Moody who played 8 Tests & 76 ODIs for Australia was also the coach of Sri Lanka’s national cricket team from 2005 to 2007.

Asher Schon, the Multan Sultans director said, "I believe in Tom we have found the ideal man for this role,"

"He possesses years of coaching experience with various franchises which enables him to play a crucial role in nurturing young talent and player development."

Moody will work with Wasim Akram, who is now the Multan’s director of cricket.

Moody expressed his excitement to be the head coach of Multan & partnering up with Wasim Akram in a video message, “I am looking forward to being involved with Multan Sultans next year for the PSL and partnering-up with my old mate Wasim Akram,”

He added, “Great things ahead for the new side in the PSL. Looking forward to working with all the local talent and putting together a great team for the success in the future,”

Wasim Akram is hopeful that Moody will help Multan become the top team of the PSL & will also contribute towards the development of players.

“Tom Moody has great experience of coaching, especially for franchise-based cricket. His presence will lead Multan to new heights,” Wasim said.
