Pakistan include Ajmal in WC Squad

Pakistan selectors have announced the 30 probables for upcoming 2015 World Cup that will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand. The selectors have also included the suspended off-spinner Saeed Ajmal in the squad. Saeed Ajmal has been banned from bowling by ICC in September due to illegal bowling action.

Captain Misbah-ul-Haq will lead the Pakistan side. New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 17 runs to level the two match Twenty20 series. New Zealand batted first and put a total of 144 for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Pakistan batting line-up collapsed at 127 in 18.5 overs while chasing a feasible target.

New Zealand beat Pakistan in Sharjah on Sunday and completed the three-match series by 1-1. Asad Shafique’s 137 could not save Pakistan from losing the match and they could hardly make 259. Kiwis performance is laudable due to prevailing sense of grief and sorrow in the backdrop of Aussie batsman Phil Hughes’s death in a match last week.

Clarke expressed his emotions for Phillips

Australian Cricket team captain Michael Clark has expressed his emotions over the death of batsman Phil Hughes who would have celebrated his 26th birthday on Sunday. Hughes lost his battle of life on last Thursday in a Sydney hospital after he was hit by a bouncer on neck during a domestic match.

Michael said, he "struggled to comprehend how this tragedy could happen to one of life's true characters and gentlemen". He added, "His cricketing achievements - of which there were many - really play second fiddle to the human qualities that he exhibited,".

Clarke wrote, "I don't think in 12 years of playing cricket at the top level I have ever come across a more loyal or generous-hearted teammate,". He further wrote, "I don't have a blood brother, but I am very proud to have called Phillip my brother. I am a better man for having known him.".

Sri Lanka beat England in second ODI taking a lead by 2-0 in seven-match series in Colombo. In response to England’s 185, Lankan team successfully met the target with eight spare wickets. Tillakaratne, the host team’s off-spinner, took both the openers. Lankans also lost their openers but were saved by unbeaten half century of Mahela Jayawardene (77) and Kumar Sangakkara (67).

Australia vs India Test series delayed

The cricket Tears in Australia have not yet decided to play or not to play Test against India next week in Brisbane due to emotional stir created by the untimely death of Phil Hughes.  Australian Cricket Chief Executive James Sutherland has informed the media that they are liaising with their Indian counter parts to reschedule the Test keeping in view of the unprecedented incident.

22 years old Sean Abbott has come across an unforgettable tragedy in his professional life which will keep on haunting him in his personal life as well. Phillip Hughes breathed his last in Sydney's Hospital

Australian batsman Phillip Hughes breathed his last in Sydney’s St Vincent Hospital on Wednesday. He had received a blow by a ball on his head while batting in a Sheffield Shield match in Sydney Cricket Ground three days ago. He underwent a surgery for relieving his brain of the pressure. 25 years old cricketer never recovered after his surgery and remained in coma.
